When does a hobby take over?
I started keeping bees in 2018. Initially I had no idea what I was doing, but a mate from work was a beekeeper and he offered to help me out. Since then I have surprised myself with what I've been able to do - catching swarms, extracting bees from wall cavities, splitting hives. It's been easier than I thought it would be, and I've found bees to be a fascinating hobby.
I have been passionate about encouraging other people in getting into beekeeping and realised that, like myself when I first started keeping bees, there are a lot of questions when you are first starting out. My aim is to provide more than just a box of bees - I want to help you in setting up that first hive, be on call when things go wrong and offer an ongoing mentoring experience.

The more of us that get involved in providing a safe space for bees, the better the chance is that bees will survive and thrive.
