Introduction to Beekeeping Half Day Course

Become a beekeeping apprentice for a day! All your questions answered and get some hands on experience. 3-4 hour course at a time to suit you. Morning/afternoon tea provided as well as local honey to sample. All protective equipment provided for a hands on look at a working bee hive.
 
One-on-one discussion including:
types of bees and species in Australia
hive types and the pros and cons of each, including Flow Hives
local regulations and organisations
where to get your bees and hives from
pest and diseases
honey, wax, pollen and their uses
hive inspections
 
Courses will be weather dependent as the hives can only be opened in fine weather. Easy access including wheelchair. First aid qualified and experienced beekeeper, registered with DPI. Individual classes. Price is per person.
