Langsroth bee hive without bees

A traditional Langstroth hive, including 8 frames, outer lid, inner cover and bottom board. Just add bees! Or see my other items for a complete package.
 
Break down of the hive you will receive:
1. Ventilated bottom board - the base of your hive with removable stainless steel tray and beetle mesh. This base allows airflow through the hive helping with temperature control, beetle reduction and reduced condensation.
2. Inner cover - a pine inner lid that helps prevent burr comb and makes accessing the hive for inspections easier
3. A gabled, ventilated roof - not only does this lid help with temperature and condensation management, but it looks good too!
4. An eight frame box with frames. These boxes are a standard size so can be interchanged with other hives and easily added to when required.
 
These hives are a quality product with features recommended by trail and error to ensure you have the best start to your beekeeping experience. The boxes are painted with two coats of exterior paint, and while colours may vary, all are light tones selected to help the bees keep the hive cool.
 
Ask about double 8 frame hives and save some money. The hives I provide are full 8 frame hives and will need a super (top box) as the bees expand. I sell supers for $150 but if you purchase your basic hive as a double 8 frame hive the total costs is only $450 including a queen excluder.
